Hong Kong Jade Buffet

Jade is falling off. I guess, having the new containers, made price go up but quality of food down. Wish I could show you picture of the ribs I got last night. By the looks of them, you can tell that they were gross. Was a loyal costumer. Only thing is, all the other Chinese restaurants around couldn't hold a candle to you but now, you're average just like them!

Great Buffet! Whenever I come down from Montreal I usually do dinner here. A very good selection of asian style classics, seafood and desserts. You can usually tell how good a buffet is by the turnover. This place is always busy. Reasonably priced as well.

I grew up in the area and this buffet was my primary knowledge for Chinese food; however, I've now experienced it in other places and I can say that Jades is NOT the best you'll ever find - but it is the best for the area. Another local one opened up recently (replacing another - new one is Far East Buffet as of writing this review). They are good too, but a little pricier so for about the same quality I'd stick with Jades. We do still eat at Far East though when the kids want to. (Side note: they do have steak at Far East and will cook it for you there so if that is a selling point for you, go there). Jades offers many selections and the food is all yummy, even if not the best in the world. You have all the classics plus some items I've only ever seen there (and some locals tried to copy the idea - I didn't complain). So if you're in the area and want a cheap meal that will fill you up and not repulse you - go to Jades!
